August marks the perfect time for wine lovers to show their excitement for Washington
August is Washington State Wine Month. Starting Aug. 1, the Washington State wine industry will launch promotions to encourage wine lovers to visit Washington wineries and tasting rooms, and save big on their favorite Washington wines.
Washington State Wine Month features a variety of ways to enjoy all that Washington wine has to offer, including free tastings at wineries, discounts at retailers, and tasting room specials. In addition, point-of-purchase advertising and a strong social media presence allow consumers to engage with wineries and fellow consumers.
The newly designed website, www.WAWineMonth.com, features a live Tagboard, which follows the hashtag #wawinemonth and tracks offers, highlights promotions, and honors the award-winning wine of Washington State and the partners who make it such a dynamic, exciting industry.
“Washington State Wine Month is the time to raise a toast to Washington’s more than 850 wineries,” said Steve Warner, president of Washington State Wine, a state agency representing all of Washington’s licensed wineries and grape growers. “We’re proud of our collaborative, down-to-earth wine community and our critically acclaimed wines.”
To spread the word, Washington State Wine will increase print, web, television and radio advertising around the month-long promotions, anticipating a reach of 8 million impressions.
